Indian fast food franchise sector: opportunities & progress


The fast food franchise sector is continually growing; new options have been explored to meet customer requirements. People love ready-to-eat cuisines not only for cool down hunger but also as a free time or leisure activity. That means people get socialize at restaurants, spend quality time. On average, Indians fast food consumption has increased and it is estimated that in coming future this will exponentially enlarge. According to survey, global brands are dominating Indian landscape; they offer wide range of dishes and also maintain quality. On the other hand local brands are still struggling to find niche position due to inadequate supply of resources and infrastructure. Box-o-burger is also a local brand but it gives tough competition to counterparts in:
·        Quality – All recipes are developed by natural ingredients, the brand take care of every customer health;
·        Franchise model – Several existing brand charge high franchise fee and royalty. But Box-o-burger is constantly changing business model to serve people from high to low pocket.
·        Profitability – The brand provide high profit margins, also charge low franchise fee.
Fast food franchise segment is outstandingly cultivating as customer are exciting for new recipes which are healthy and nutritious. Quality of product is important so as diversity and supply chain management. Box-o-burger is extensively producing phenomenal dishes and services. The industry presents momentous and profitable opportunity for established global and domestic brands. One of the key parameters in fast food industry is constant innovations because customer always prefers new and exciting stuffs. In order to enhance productivity, sales and brand awareness everything from marketing to model must develop as per current markets & opportunities. Models like franchise-owned company-operated (FoCo) and company-owned franchise operated (CoFo) are popular in global fast food industry. Every year new food franchise enter into Indian markets and enjoy massive growth.
